Fouling is an accumulation of undesired materials on the equipment’s wall that has detrimental effects. The formation of fouling will form a deposit layer on the Heat Exchanger. Deposit accumulation on the surface of the heat exchanger raises its pressure and decreases its efficiency. Fouling commonly formed in pipelines and various heat-producing equipment such as boilers and heat exchangers.
Antifoulant is a specialty chemical to overcome fouling due to wax/asphaltene in crude oil. This chemical is only to prevent fouling from happening; not to treat the fouling that has already formed. The dose of this product is 10-500 ppm or you can adjust it during the field trial. The injection method used for chemical antifoulant applications is a continuous injection system.
