Eonscale SI 5292

Sea Water Desalination (SWD) process is one of the processes in a refinery. What is SWD? SWD means treating sea water to transform it into fresh water, so it is ready to use for high-pressure boiler feed. In the SWD process, seawater is gradually evaporated, and its vapors are condensed and then sent to the storage tank. Because sea water has a high salt content, it forms scale at high temperatures. To prevent scaling, it needs special treatment.

Scale Inhibitor is a chemical to treat scale formation due to inorganic deposits. The working principle of this scale inhibitor is by modifying the growth of the crystal scale chemically so that the crystal scale only forms at a small size. Under this condition, the scale would not settle. Scale Inhibitor should be applied on water treatment continuously to inhibit scale growth optimally.
